Hello out there!
Welcome to the blog home of a simple girl. I come from a family of creative lineage from drawers, painters, producers, photographers, cooks, landscape architects, designers, dancers, even carpenters. So, I wanted to bring those attributes to the high tech world and share them with you!
What is a Virtuous Lily you ask? Well, it stems (pun totally intended) from Song of Solomon 2:2 “Like a lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters”. I love my father (both earthly and above) and I am also in love with one incredible man (my future hubs) and this verse just makes me feel loved and special.
Secondly, I pulled from Proverbs 31:10 “Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far about rubies”. The Proverbs 31 women is a ROCKSTAR. This woman outshines any Pantene shampoo, is stronger than any Bounty paper towel, and is a better roll model than… well anything Hollywood has to offer.
So my mission? To be more a beautiful, worthy, virtuous woman who stands apart from the world around me. I want to encourage other women to ditch the media and pick up a sewing kit, throw out the magazines and open a cook book. Take pride in the way you were made, finding out that being a woman is glorious thing and a gift to be shared and encouraged. And I’m not talking about the worlds woman. I’m talking about a woman who can stand in front God one day, as the angels witness Him say “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who FEARS the Lord, she shall be praised” Proverbs 31:29-30
